November Reading Wrap-up (What I Read in November)

•

Hey everyone!! I’m back with a new post! I didn’t post anything last week because it was a holiday week. I hope everyone reading this had a great Thanksgiving! Mine was nice. Anyway, I wanted to start out the week by posting my November Wrap-up, since it’s now December. My reading last month was just ok. I feel like it could’ve been better. I only managed to finish two books, but that’s because I DNF’d a lot of books last month. This time of year, I also don’t get that much reading done because of the busy season.

Anyway, I’m going to talk about the two books I finished in November. The first one I’m going to mention is “The Pumpkin Spice Cafe” by Laurie Gilmore. I have a full review up for this book on the blog, so you can see my full thoughts there. I absolutely loved this book! It’s one of the best romance books I read this year. I gave it 5 stars! The other book is one I just finished. That book is “Romancing Mister Bridgerton” by Julia Quinn. This is the fourth book in the Bridgerton series. I’m a huge Bridgerton fan! I love the show, and the books. So far, I read the first four books and gave all of them five stars. It’s my favorite historical romance series. I’m a big historical romance fan. I started reading them in 2020, and never looked back, lol! I usually tend to read them more in the fall/winter. And this book did not disappoint! I loved Colin and Penelope’s story so much! Friends-to-lovers is my favorite romance trope, so of course I loved their book! This book meant so much to me for personal reasons. I was able to relate to both characters. I can relate to Colin, because he feels lost in the world. He hasn’t found his purpose in life, and his brothers are successful. I just found that so relatable. Everyone else I know is very successful and has a normal life. I’m 30, single, trying to build a business, broke, and I’m still living home with my parents. I feel so behind in life, but I know it’s because I’m meant to be different, and have a different life, since I’m self-employed. That’s why I was able to relate to Colin so much. I can really relate to Penelope too because she’s a wallflower, spinster, and she’s curvy. I’m all three of those, lol! I felt like I was seen, and reading about myself. I love that the author put that representation in there, because it’s so relatable. I also love the message about Colin falling for her, because it shows that even if you’re a shy, socially awkward, curvy woman, you can still find someone, and be loved. This book was definitely the most relatable book in the series, but Benedict’s book is still my favorite. It was such a sweet romance. I obviously gave it 5 stars. I just love this series so much! If you’ve read all of the Bridgerton books, tell me in the comments, which book is your favorite.

That was my November reading wrap-up. I would love to hear what books you read in November. Thank you so much for reading! I’ll have another post coming soon, so stay tuned! Have a great day, and happy reading!!
